With this conference, we want to build a bridge between students, industry and universities. During our numerous events and successful collaborations with industrial partners in past years, especially during our first conference in 2020, we noticed the importance and the growing interest in this active exchange. This time, the focus of our conference will be on “diversity in chemistry”.
We aim to highlight the diversity of chemistry and its related research areas, as well as the diversity of the community itself. Both, industry and academia can benefit from diversity as it leads to more creativity and innovation and facilitates approaches from different perspectives when facing new challenges. For this reason, we have decided to invite speakers from a broad variety of research areas and backgrounds for the second Young Chemists Summit in 2024.
The first Young Chemist Summit reached a large community with over 200 registrations from five continents and many different countries, even though the pandemic forced us to hold the conference exclusively online. This time we want to expand this active exchange through a face-to-face event. With the second edition of this major event, we want to reengage our network of 400 young chemists throughout Austria, as well as young people interested in chemistry or chemistry-related fields across Europe.
